An Open Letter To Our Customers and Suppliers

Dear Valued Customer

While we navigate these challenging times, we wanted to inform you that Zeeland Lumber qualifies as an “essential business” per Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” #2020-21 Executive Order. We currently serve essential industries identified in the order, as well as support the distribution of forest products. In our Indiana locations, we are also considered an essential business by the Executive order issued by Governor Holcomb.

We know that this is a fluid situation and various associations, including HBA and ABC, are working to clarify what construction activity is deemed essential.  We encourage you to work with your association and legal partners to determine if and what part of your business may be deemed essential.

In order for Zeeland Lumber to ship product to your jobsite and in order to comply with Governor Whitmer and Governor Holcomb’s Executive Orders, Zeeland Lumber will only be supplying customers that are considered an exception to the Executive Order.

We know that many of our customers do work in areas that are considered exceptions to the Executive Order. We have included a form letter that you may fill out and send back to us, or you may have your own letter stating that your business or project is considered an exception.

Our leadership team has a task force working daily on all the impacts of COVID-19, and have put in place all the protocol to operate our business with the safety and health of our team members and stakeholders as the priority. We have been and will continue to navigate these uncertain times. We care about you and appreciate you. We wish you strength and courage and hope as you navigate your businesses.

Let’s stay safe and productive as we navigate this together.
